Release Highlights – 9th Apr 2026: Update related to Google Business Messaging!

An important update from us related to Google Business Messaging! Google has announced that Google Business Messages (GBM) will be discontinued on July 31, 2024. As a result, we’re removing GBM support from our roadmap. What this means for GBM users: Brand-Managed Entry Points : If you’re using a URL or web widget for GBM chat, remove it or replace it with an alternative messaging option by July 15, 2024. Google will stop creating new conversations after this date. Chat Feature Shutdown : The chat feature will be completely disabled on July 31, 2024. You will not receive any new messages after July 1, 2024. Alternative Communication Channels : Google recommends inviting customers to use alternative chat channels for communication. GBM shutdown creates a challenge for local businesses who relied on it to interact with potential customers. But this is also an opportunity to embrace a more advanced, future-ready solution.
