Configuration Steps for SFMC Integration
Post installation, you will need to configure the extension by following the below steps:-
How to Integrate the CRM in Conversive?
- In Salesforce Marketing Cloud, select the Data Extensions area.
- Import user data into the appropriate Data Extension, ensuring it includes information such as names, mobile numbers, and country codes.
- Use the filter options to segment your data as required by your marketing strategy.

Set up Integrations & Create Messaging Templates
- In Conversive, click the Integration tab.
- Choose Marketing Cloud from the available integration options.
- Connect your marketing cloud instance with Conversive.
- To create a new message template, go to the Message Templates tab, and then Create New Template.


Configuration to sync messages to SFMC
Customer’s SFMC org domain need to be configured in Conversive’s platform to sync messages from Conversive’s platform to SFMC.
How to get the SFMC Org domain
Go to Setup -> Company Settings -> Account Settings
Copy a domain name against SOAP WSDL (Highlighted in below image ) and email to [email protected] or share with Conversive’s Support Rep.

Multichannel Consent Management for SFMC
Utilizing Conversive’s advanced consent management capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) ensures compliance with stringent data protection laws and enhances customer trust and engagement. This system streamlines the process of obtaining and documenting consent, enabling businesses to deliver targeted messaging campaigns responsibly and effectively.
Accessing Consent Management:
- In the Conversive’s navigation, find the consent management tab.

Understanding the Consent Management:
- Opt-out Preference: Manage system-wide opt-out preferences here. You have the option to Enable or Disable this feature and to Change Preference as needed.
- Consent Records: This area displays a list of consent statuses for each phone number, showing who has OPTED-IN or OPTED-OUT.
- We have option to setup consent granularity of Org and SenderId. SenderId wise granular consent helps to manage consent on different type of messages or you can use it have multiple departments managing consent wrt their department.
- Keyword Management: Set up keywords that automate opt-in or opt-out responses from message recipients.

Managing Consent Records:
- To add consent for a new phone number, select the Add Consent(s) button, which allows for the input of new phone numbers and their corresponding consent status.
- Consent records will ger created automatically on inbound messages as well if they send certain keywords such as START.
- To locate a specific contact’s consent status, use the Search for Phone Number function.
- For each record, you can view details such as the sender ID, phone number, consent status, consent registration date, when it was created, and the last modified date.
Consent Preferences:

To modify system-wide opt-out preferences, select the Change Preference button. This action allows you to configure how the system handles opt-outs.
If the system-wide opt-out is active, the sender ID won’t be considered while sending a message to any opted-out number.

Keyword Management:
- Set up keywords for automated consent management here. For example, recipients can text a keyword like “STOP” to register their opt-out from receiving messages.

General Management Tips:
- Regularly review your consent records to ensure they reflect the most recent consents.
- Update your opt-out preferences as required to maintain compliance with regulations.
- Use the keyword management feature to streamline the consent process, making it easier for recipients to opt in or out.
- Remember to save all changes before exiting the Consent Management screen to ensure all updates are applied.
